This strikingly marked filly is a throwback to ‘The Tetrarch’ (the Spotted Wonder) who raced in 1913 and was touted as the “greatest 2YO of all time”.
Only raced as a 2YO (due to injury) the impression he left was of unlimited speed and untested talent. His influence of brilliant speed helped create an international dynasty of stallions, keeping his name alive through the generations.

Renowned the world over as the best 3YO of his generation Big Brown was also an exceptional 2YO winning his first start by and incredible 11¼ lengths. In his 3YO year he went on to win the Florida Derby, the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, becoming only the 4th horse to win both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness undefeated. A 3 inch ‘quarter crack’ on his near fore hoof just before the Belmont Stakes denied him the Triple Crown as he was pulled up in the running by the jockey.
