Lazyaxl’s 10 day sojourn to the water walker, since his last race, paid dividends today when he put paid to favourite and talented galloper “Squeaky Squirrel” at Seymour.
Restrained at the start by leading jockey Damien Oliver, he raced with cover near the rear of the field until the turn. He made ground on the fence before gaining a split, accelerating and holding out the fast finishing Squeaky Squirrel.
The main goal with Lazyaxl is to get him to settle in his races so he can finish off with the explosive style that we have seen in the past.
