Bull Point’s stallion career has got off to an incredible start – his first starter to the racetrack, Encountabull, showed great promise over the Spring Carnival followed by an unlucky 2nd in the $500,000 Inglis Nursery at Randwick. The second of his progeny to race, Yourpoint made a successful debut at Matamata which vindicated New Zealand’s premier trainer Jamie Richard’s thoughts in the lead up to the race. Drawing wide, Yourpoint settled back in the field and showed a great turn of foot circling the entire field and going on to win comfortably by 2 lengths. Yourpoint will now be aimed at the $1 million Karaka Millions in late January.
Bull Point’s incredible start to his stallion career continued with the fourth of his progeny to hit the racetrack at Scone on Tuesday 14th January – Very Sharp, a 2-y-o filly took on the older horses in an open maiden at her home track. The filly was well supported starting favourite, she jumped smartly to lead the field and showed a good turn of foot to open up a winning margin on straightening.
